7th Annual Bands Together Against Brain Tumors a Success!
The event was a great success raising more than $13,000 to help support the Children’s Brain Tumor Project which is a research effort at the Weill Cornell Pediatric Brain and Spine Center, co-directed by Dr. Mark Souweidane and Dr. Jeffrey Greenfield. The Children’s Brain Tumor Project brings hope to the hundreds of patients and families each year who confront the heartbreaking diagnoses of rare and inoperable pediatric brain tumors.
There are countless people to thank!
First, we thank the close to 200 people who purchased tickets and attended the event held at the Knoll Country Club throughout the afternoon. We also thank the many who donated and purchased the 50 plus silent auction items!
Kids and their grown-ups were also entertained by volunteers from the Parsippany Hills High School and an assortment of “minute-to-win-it” games.
The crowd was kept on their toes by our emcee for the day, local comedian and inspirational speaker Mike Dean Easter.
Ricky Santiago made things fun with his photo booth and props and Face Painting & Balloon Art by Jazzana & Co. adorned guests with incredible face painting and tattoos and made the most amazing balloon art!
Once again, we had a lively corn-hole tournament with custom-made corn-hole boards by Ronny Parncutt who also donated a custom-made set for the silent auction.
Thank you also to News 12 New Jersey for covering the event.
Again, thank everyone for their contributions and participation! It takes a village to make sure #noonefightsalone!
